Yo- Looking for good books, preferably fiction, preferably not something that raises more than 2 of my white flags
WHITE FLAGS
- Can be found in the "Teen Literature" section in a bookstore
- Written by a religious author
- The same concept has been done before
- A sequel to anything*
- An embarrassing cover art**
- "Historical" Fiction
*Exception if I read/liked the prequel
**Exception if I can find on the Sony Reader store
Any suggestions are welcome at all
Thank you

Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book (Children's book, but still magnificent)
ReplyDeleteJohn Green's Paper Towns, Will Grayson Will Grayson (in collaboration with David Levithan), Looking For Alaska by John Green
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Nation by Terry Pratchett
Any of the Disc World series by Terry Pratchett
No guarantees on any of these. John Green's are probably the ones you're most likely to enjoy. They are fiction, do not have embarrassing covers, have no religious themes, and are fiction. I expect you will enjoy his writing style as well: He's not pretentious, he's straight forward, honest, gritty, intelligent, ironic, sarcastic, funny, but most importantly, he's earnest.
Tell me what you think.
Much love
